Hi, I'm Jessica, the owner of Jessica’s Bake Shop.
After graduating from Texas State University in 2015, I moved back home to Dallas and started Jessica’s Bake Shop right out of my own kitchen. I've enjoyed baking for friends and family since a young age. I never imagined my fun hobby turned side-hustle would turn into a full blown business, but here we are and I couldn't be happier!
This is my mom, Laura.
We run Jessica's Bake Shop together. She is my #1 half baking and half administrative assistant...and also the one who taught me that it's okay to eat cookie dough (don't judge)! We love customizing treats specifically for you and your events. One of our favorite things about baking is the opportunity to help you celebrate the fun things in life. We guarantee it will be “love at first cookie”!
Do you ship?
No, we do not ship. If you're local, you can order and ship the cookies yourself though!
Do you bake for gluten-free, dairy-free, nut allergies, etc.?
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate allergies right now. We're sorry!
What ingredients are in your decorated sugar cookies?
Our sugar cookies contain butter, eggs, sugar, flour, sugar, vanilla and lemon extract. Our sugar cookie icing contains meringue powder, powdered sugar, lemon and almond extract.
How long do your decorated sugar cookies stay fresh?
If your cookies are heat sealed they'll be fresh a week or two. You can also freeze your cookies for several months. We recommend using a Ziplock and Tupperware.
Do you teach classes?
We do! You can submit an order form to schedule your class today! Our cookie classes are usually 2 hours long, $40 a person, and include 6 different designs. For private events, we require a minimum of 8 people.
In our class you will learn:
- the basics of making and baking sugar cookie dough
- the basics of making royal icing
- royal icing color mixing
- a variety of cookie decorating techniques
- you will also get a resource sheet with information on supplies and baking blogs
