Hi, I'm Jessica, the owner of Jessica’s Bake Shop!
In 2015, I graduated from Texas State University, moved back home to Dallas, and started Jessica’s Bake Shop right out of my own kitchen (as a side hustle). I grew up baking cookies with my mom, then I baked for my friends, and then the orders started rolling in! I never imagined having my own business so quickly but thanks to all of you, it happened!
This is my mom, Laura. We run Jessica's Bake Shop together (but I'm the boss!). She is my best friend, #1 baking assistant and also the one who taught me that it's okay to eat cookie dough! We love customizing treats specifically for you and your events. One of our favorite things about baking is the opportunity to help you celebrate the fun things in life. We guarantee it will be “love at first cookie”!
Can you ship?
No, we are not allowed to ship due to the Texas Cottage Food Law.
Do you bake for people with peanut allergies?
We do! But keep in mind we also have peanut and nut items on our menu. If you have a severe allergy we may not be the best bakery for you.
Do you offer gluten free, dairy free, or any other allergy friendly items?
No, unfortunately we do not right now.
What ingredients are in your sugar cookies and royal icing?
Our sugar cookies contain: butter, sugar, eggs, flour, almond extract, and lemon extract.
Our royal icing includes: meringue powder (egg whites), powdered sugar, lemon extract, and almond extract.
How long do your sugar cookies stay fresh?
They will stay fresh up to two weeks in an airtight container. You can also freeze them for up to two months. We suggest a ziplock bag and Tupperware.
Do you teach cookie decorating classes?
I have not yet but hope to in the future! It doesn't hurt to ask...you could be my first!
